PRINCE GEORGE – The plexiglass and hand sanitizer have been in place the Service Centre at City since March. It is one of a long list of measures the City has undertaken to limit inter-personal contract, as per an order from the Provincial Health Office.

But starting Monday, much of the City staff will be working from home on an interim basis.

“Starting on Monday, many employees will be able to work from home,” explains Rae-Ann Emery, Director of Human Resources. “It’s not going to be a mandatory program, it will be temporary and we’re really trying to reduce exposure of our employees by limiting the number of people who gather in the workplace. Whatever schedule works for their division. So some departments, some [employees] will do two weeks at home, two weeks at the office. Whatever works operationally for that department.”
