Derrick elected School District 57 Chair

PRINCE GEORGE — Trent Derrick has been elected as the new Board Chair for School District 57. He has previous experience as Vice-Chair and replaces Tim Bennett, who was Chair for the previous four years.

Derrick was instrumental in the renaming of the current Kelly Road Secondary School/Shas Ti Secondary School. He issued the original motion in early 2020.

Derrick was nominated by Trustee Shuirose Valimohamed. Sharel Warrington, nominated by Ron Polillo, was the other lone nomination.
