PRINCE GEORGE – Today the Prince George Peacemakers presented letters of appreciation from around the community to the RCMP at a special ceremony.

The PG Peacemakers began collecting the letters last month from people in the community. The Peacemakers are a group of people representing Christian values in the workplace.

A thank-you board was also presented, showing photos and notes. Christian schools in Prince George participated in writing letters, which were also included.

Chris Wiebe, Chair at the PG Peacemakers says, “it seemed like a timely initiative, just to be thankful that we have people to protect us.”

Wiebe says “we know that they do a lot for our community that does just go unrecognized and so we wanted to do just a little thing to appreciate that.”

Supt. Shaun Wright with the Prince George RCMP says “it’s little things like this that really remind us why we’re out there doing it.”
