Mr. PG sports a new look
PRINCE GEORGE – Mr. PG often sports a new look and he is again. This time it’s a giant multi-coloured scarf.
It was knitted by the same group of ladies who pulled together hundreds of smaller scarves worn by smaller replicas of the city’s iconic symbol. Those were supposed to go to the curlers of the World Women’s Curling Championships in March. But they never made it to their intended destinations, courtesy COVID-19. But even the pandemic couldn’t hold these ladies back.
“During the summer, we met in the park. Just to meet each other. Just to see each other,” explains Clasine van Adrichem. “And then we decided ‘Let’s go to it. Let’s do it.’ So I got the wool and I distributed it to everybody and there we went.”
