Million dollar Lotto 6/49 ticket sold in Smithers

SMITHERS — Dwayne Etzerza is a million dollars richer after purchasing a winning Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize Draw ticket on Nov.25.

The Telegraph Creek resident bought the ticket from Shoppers Drug Mart in Smithers.

“I woke up that day and was on Facebook when I noticed one of my friends had posted that someone won $1 million in Smithers,” he recalled of the moment he realized hed’ won. He then checked his ticket right away on his BCLC Lotto! app, which showed he was a winner.

“I couldn’t believe it! I think I was still half asleep and had to ask my partner what she saw on the screen to confirm the win.”
