PRINCE GEORGE – You may remember 11-year-old Brody Dery who is battling Stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma and Crohn’s disease.

Now John Brink has re-ignited a fundraising campaign with a donation of $10k, and has committed to matching another $10k in donations with hopes of raising $50,000 for Brody and his family.

Brink says the Dery family has faced a number of financial challenges as the trips to BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver pile up, for Brody to get the treatment he needs.

Brink is now calling on you to donate what you can, saying the people of Prince George need to support a family in such tough times.

Brink was brought to tears when talking about Brody in an interview with CKPG News, saying this story tugs on his heartstrings.

“This is an 11-year-old kid, who has so much life ahead of him,” says Brink.

Who says he wants to help support the family any way he can.

You can contribute to the gofundme through the link here, and the ‘Rally For Brody’ Facebook page here.

“Every little bit counts and Prince George is a community that looks after their own. If you aren’t in a position to donate, please consider sharing this post to help spread the word,” says Brink.
