New warming centre open downtown for vulnerable population
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George-Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association (PGNAETA) in partnership with Positive Living North (PLN) have opened a new warming centre on 3rd Avenue.
‘The Fire Pit’ is being used as an emergency warming shelter with staff on-site, for people who wish to sleep, play board games, and most of all stay warm.
It’s the first warming station of its kind in Prince George says PLN.
