Snowpack levels normal for February

PRINCE GEORGE – Having a good understanding of the amount of snowpack and keeping a close eye on the weather patterns, provincial scientists have a better chance of forecasting the seasonal flood risks.

Scientists look at the variation between high and low snowpack, this gives them a full picture of the amount of water that is stored on the ground that is ready to come down as we move into spring.

With the number of warm temperature days, our region has experienced there is still a normal amount of snow in the alpine areas.
