PRINCE GEORGE — The RCMP’s Distracted Driving Awareness campaign is in full swing in Prince George.
On March 4, RCMP Traffic Services, Citizens on Patrol volunteers and the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Team set up a checkpoint at the intersection of McGill Crescent and Domano Boulevard for four hours.
While there 20 tickets for distracted driving were issued, including one driver who was ticketed twice in an hour-and-a-half and who also failed to display an ‘N’ on his vehicle. The driver was issued fines totalling over $800 dollars.
