RCMP seek witnesses to alleged sexual assault

PRINCE GEORGE —The Prince George RCMP is seeking witnesses following a report of a sexual assault at the corner of Park Drive and Thompson Drive.

Cst. Jennifer Cooper says the female victim reported that a male sexually assaulted her at approximately 3:20 p.m. yesterday (Mar.17).

“Police have identified the victim and suspect in this matter and both parties are cooperating with the police investigation,” she says.

“At this time, investigators are asking that anyone who was in the area of Park Drive and Thompson Drive between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on March 17 and may have witnessed this event to contact the Prince George RCMP by calling 250-561-3300.”

Cooper also requests that any residents in the area with video surveillance facing that intersection to check their recordings during that time to see if the incident was caught on camera. Additionally, she asks that anyone with a dash camera in the area at that time to review their footage to see if it recorded any part of the incident.
