Library celebrates Spring Break
PRINCE GEORGE – At this time last year, parents were in a scramble. Exploration Place, a common source of spring break activities, was closed. As was the library, another steady source of programs for kids. But this spring, some programs are being offered over Spring Break.
“We’ve created these scavenger hunts for kids that are five to nine,” says Amy Dhanjal with the Prince George Public Library. “There are six different scavenger hunts. One is around the house, one is night time, there’s a Prince George themed one. So these are really nice things can do with their parents, families or their friends around the community. If they can complete just one of the scavenger hunts, they can bring it back to the library and they can get a prize.” There are also grab and go bags for the older kids.
But, while the library is starting to offer spring break programs, the return is slow.
