PRINCE GEORGE – If you like ice cream and are hoping to support a local boy battling chronic disease, you can do all of that this weekend at The Frozen Paddle.

The Frozen Paddle has teamed up with the UNBC Timberwolves Student Athlete Society (TSAS) to raise money for 11-year-old Brody Dery.

Dery has been chosen as the TSAS MVP of the Month and will benefit from a number of fundraisers throughout March.

$2 from every pint of ice cream sold from The Frozen Paddle on Saturday and Sunday will go towards the cause.

“They were having trouble trying to fundraise safely with the pandemic, and we thought this would be a great way we could help out the family,” says Francesco Bartolillo from The Frozen Paddle.

The Frozen Paddle is located beside Rona on Cowart Rd, and are open from 2 pm until 7 pm this weekend.

Brody is currently in Vancouver receieving another round of chemotherapy treaments at the BC Children’s Hospital as he continues his battle with Stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma, and Crohn’s disease.
