Hooker has 4-point night in Cougars 6-3 win over Giants
KAMLOOPS, BC – The Prince George Cougars jumped back into the win column on Saturday with an emphatic 6-3 win over the Vancouver Giants at the Sandman Centre.
Prince George ended their three-game winless streak and snapped the Giants five-game win streak in the process. The win evened the Cougars’ record to 2-2-1-1 through six games, as they sit third in the B.C. Division.
Jonny Hooker led the way, as he scored the game-winner and finished with four points (1-3-4). He was the game’s first star. Ethan Browne chipped in with a goal and an assist and Hudson Thornton scored his first WHL goal in his debut. Craig Armstrong scored the team’s first short-handed goal of the season, and Connor Bowie and Koehn Ziemmer also found the back of the net.
