MP Todd Doherty issues statement following threat to his family

PRINCE GEORGE – There are still a lot of unknowns surrounding a recent post by local MP Todd Doherty on social media, but Doherty confirmed on Tuesday that he and his family have been subject to a threat.

The Cariboo-Prince George MP confirmed the RCMP is investigating a threat towards him and his family.

In the video posted to Twitter, Doherty was animated saying “Today (April 12) I received another threat, I want to send a message. I don’t run and I don’t hide. You threaten my family, you approach my family, and I will take appropriate action. That’s not a threat, that’s a promise.”
