New film showcases Métis history for S.D. 57 students

PRINCE GEORGE – Learning out of a textbook about the history of Métis people in Canada won’t be required in School District 57 thanks to the addition of a new film.

The 26-minute-long film showcases the culture of Métis people and features many local elders, and community members while being completely filmed locally.

The film can be viewed here, and was produced by Ben Gibson from MediaForge Studios.

“This is a huge part of our motion for more experiential learning,” says Jennifer Moroz, a Teacher involved with the project.
