PRINCE GEORGE – Over the weekend we had some sunshine opportunities, as well as the grand opening of The Wilson Square Community Market. With COVID protocols in place, the farmers market was a hit for folks roaming around the downtown core.

The non-profit community market was created over ten years ago, it is volunteer-based and is an opportunity to buy and sell locally.

Their motto “MAKE IT, BAKE IT, GROW IT” and there are certainly many unique items to check out, from salsa to fresh bread and produce to some yummy bannock bread any way you like. Maria Pennock who is the president of the market says, this is one of the best ways to keep our local economy going.
