Small fire on Third Ave

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a small fire at 1820 Third Avenue last night (May 5).

Four fire halls responded at approximately 7:45 p.m. to find a two-storey commercial building with light smoke coming from the roof.

Assistant Chief Valentine says the fire was isolated to the roof and was quickly extinguished, with no surrounding exposures affected.

Damages are estimated at $2,000. There were no injuries and the cause is currently under investigation.
