Bear attack sends 1 to hospital

PRINCE GEORGE — One person was sent to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries following a bear attack last night (May 31).

The Conservation Officer Service (COS) says the attack occurred shortly after 10 p.m. at a remote work camp site north of Prince George. The victim was a worker at the site.

The COS says the bear was subsequently killed by another worker after the attack.
