PRINCE GEORGE -Gunshots in a quiet neighbourhood have residents speaking out. Gunshots in a quiet neighbourhood on the Hart last week has a group of residents speaking out about the criminal activity in their area.

CKPG News spoke to one person who says they are living in fear.

The resident who lives near Cook Crescent, located in the Central Hart estates neighbourhood, doesn’t want to be identified because she fears for her safety.

Over the last few years, she says crime in the area is on the rise. At around 3 a.m. last Tuesday, the RCMP received a report of shots fired on the 5300 block of Cook Crescent.

According to the resident, this type of criminal activity makes their neighbourhood unsafe. For many residents living near Cook Crescent, the latest shooting was the once quiet neighbourhood’s tipping point.

“This is a targeted, the public is not at risk at this time. The people in the residents are known to police, and we are investigating along those lines.” Constable Jennifer Cooper Prince George RCMP

RCMP continues to ask anyone who saw or heard anything related to this incident to report it. The more information they have, there is a better chance of making arrests.
