194 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., four in Northern Health

VICTORIA — British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer has announced 194 cases of COVID-19 in B.C. today, including just four in the Northern Health region.

Here’s the regional breakdown:

  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 33
  • Fraser Health: 122
  • Island Health: 2
  • Interior Health: 33
  • Northern Health: 4

Dr. Bonnie Henry says there are currently 2,662 active cases of the virus with 246 people in hospital, 70 of whom are in intensive care.

Sadly four new deaths bringing B.C.’s death toll to 1,707.

As for vaccinations, Henry announced that 71.1 per cent of all adults in B.C. and 68 per cent of those 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

In total, 3,365,268 doses of vaccine have been administered, 208,145 of which are second doses.
