PRINCE GEORGE — A sigh of relief for those living on Farrell Street near Paddlewheel Park.
This as the City of Prince George has lifted the evacuation alert and cancelled the State of Local Emergency due to steadily receding water levels.
According to the Province, the water level on the Fraser River peaked at about 9.5 metres overnight on Saturday and has been dropping steadily ever since. Currently, the river is measuring just above nine metres and continues to recede.
