Famous players theatre set to re-open on Tuesday

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s so close you can almost taste the popcorn!

Theatres across BC, including the Famous Players 6 Theatre in Prince George, are set to re-open on Tuesday.

“Our entire team is so happy to be back doing what we love, showing movies, popping popcorn, and serving you, our guests.” Said Ellis Jacob the President & CEO of Cineplex in a video statement.

Theatres have implemented safety precautions to ensure moviegoers are safe.

This year has been hard on the industry as movie theatres have had to remain closed for the majority of the pandemic

The Province is on track to enter phase two of the BC Restart Plan on Tuesday. The second phase includes indoor seated gatherings of up to 50 people with a COVID-19 safety plan in place.

“We are on track – our first dose immunization rates are high. Cases are declining, hospitalizations are declining, critical care is declining and mortality rates have remained low and stable throughout the third wave. All of the indicators are in the direction that we want them to be.” confirmed, Dr. Réka Gustafson the deputy provincial health officer.

Playing at the Famous Players Theatre on Tuesday: Peter Rabbit 2, The Runaway, A Quiet Place II, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, and a few more.
