Celebrating pride in Prince George

Jun 14, 2021 | 5:14 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – June is Pride Month across Canada and although Prince George celebrates its own pride events in July, there are still some events taking place now for the community to take part in.It is a time when we celebrate diversity and LGBTQ2+2 communities.

“So, this month we have a Prince George Pride rocks, going on. Which means, that you can collect rocks, paint them with some kind of a pride message or diversity celebration message, put them out in the community in any park that you want, and, people will come along and you can find them.”

Normally, Prince George celebrates Pride in July. This will continue again for 2021, with several events online this year with the pandemic still looming. There will be events taking place between July 5 to July 9. The final day will host a car rally, where people can collect items and pictures for prizes. If you would like to get involved or take part in the July events, keep your eyes on the Prince George Pride Facebook page.
