She shoots, she scores: PGMHA wraps up first year of Esso Fun Day

PRINCE GEORGE – It was an opportunity for many local young girls to introduce themselves to the sport of hockey free of cost.

Over the last few weekends, the Prince George Minor Hockey Association has been putting on All-Female Hockey Camps as part of Esso Fun Days.

Esso Fun Days are a free, safe, and fun introduction to hockey for girls and women. Hockey Canada and Esso have continued to promote women’s hockey recruitment through the Esso Fun Day program, which originated in 1998 and has grown to become one of Hockey Canada’s largest recruitment tools for girls and women.
