‘The thermometer in the kitchen is currently reading above 44’: Heatwave forces White Goose Bistro to close for a couple of days
PRINCE GEORGE – High temperatures put workers at risk of heat stress. WorkSafe BC released a statement reminding employers and workers to stay safe during this heatwave even if that means shutting down.
Fallon Moreland, the owner of White Goose Bistro, closed her restaurant down for the next couple of days due to the heatwave.
“Our main concern is the kitchen. There is no air conditioning and the windows are up high. Plus, it’s a small kitchen with deep fryers, ovens, stoves all going. It’s treacherous in there,” said Moreland.
