Prince George is heating up
PRINCE GEORGE – The hot topic right now around B.C. and right here in Prince George, is the extreme heat. There is no escaping it, you feel the thick wall of heat when you walk out the door, and, every second post on your social media page is filled with various different screenshots of temperatures from weather apps.
In Prince George, we saw a high of 36.4 degrees Sunday, smashing the record of 28.5 in 1992. The hottest place in Canada was Lytton, where it reached 46.6 degrees Sunday, a new all-time.
Of course, if you can avoid any sort of cooking in your kitchen, you do.. The River morning show decided they wanted some breakfast and a sweet treat to snack on. They slapped together some eggs and cookies, to bake in their car. However, it didn’t go as planned. There is a PSA though, with temperatures sitting around the 30-degree mark at 8 a.m. Monday morning, you’re best bet is to leave nothing in your vehicle.
