PRINCE GEORGE — If you live in the Elkhorn area and are missing some electricians tools, you should contact the RCMP.

Police say they recovered the tools on June 20 in Ochakwin Park. RCMP had been tipped off about some suspicious activity in the park that morning.

“A resident in the area stated he saw a male on a bike pulling a trailer and inside the trailer appeared to be a boat motor,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“Frontline officers located the male in Ochakwin Park and their investigation led them to arrest the male for possession of stolen property. The officers located not only the boat but also some electrical testers and a handheld GPS unit inside the bike trailer. Police returned the boat motor to its rightful owner later that day.”

Cooper says police would now like to reunite these tools with their proper owner. If you live in the Elkhorn area and can properly identify the tools by their make and, preferably, the serial number please contact investigators by calling 250-561-3300.

Police released the 39-year-old Prince George resident with a future court date. He is known to police.
