Vandalism and Arson – Fraserview Crematorium targeted

PRINCE GEORGE – An investigation is underway following a fire at the Fraserview Crematorium.
According to PG Fire and Rescue, they were called out around 2 a.m. yesterday morning. RCMP was notified and the fire is now under investigation.
A statement was sent to CKPG from Fraserview, which reads:
“Early Thursday morning, Fraserview Crematorium and Funeral Home was vandalized and arson was committed to the crematorium. It breaks our hearts that anyone would try to violate the sanctity of our crematorium and funeral home. Thankfully, none of the decedents in our care were impacted; however, the crematorium sustained damage and is currently unavailable for use. The RCMP was notified, and we are fully cooperating with their investigation,” said Christopher James, External Communications Specialist.
