PRINCE GEORGE – Places like the BC SPCA and local rescues have seen an influx of animals coming in due to the wildfires burning across our province and our region.

“The main priorities now are two-fold 1 [sic] our constables are behind fire lines, rescuing animals when it’s safe to do so, ” said Alex Schare, Regional Manager, for the Cruelty Investigations Department. “We are also offering our free emergency boarding plan for those displaced by the fire. It’s such a stressful time for people.”

The BC SPCA currently has about 68 animals in care due to the current wildfire situation.
