Buy a whopper, help others affected by wildfires

PRINCE GEORGE–If you’re still thinking about what to eat for dinner, you can head down to Burger King tonight to help people affected by wildfires.

As the wildfires continue to rage in British Columbia, the Prince George Burger King is teaming up with The Canadian Red Cross to help.

Until 10 p.m., for every whopper meal or burger that’s sold, one dollar will be donated to The Canadian Red Cross’s relief and recovery efforts.

Manager Don Andrews say he hopes to raise $5,000 for The Canadian Red Cross. Donations are also going to be matched.

“I sat at home, watched all the fires going on and figured I should do something,” said Andrews.

Customers can also get some free fries today too.There’s also prize giveaways that customer can enter into. Gifts cards from Burger King, Oakroom Grill, and Save-on-Foods are all up for grabs. There’s a also a chance of winning a bike helmet.
