PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue made quick work of a fire on the 2000 block of Tamarack Street yesterday (July 29).

Assistant Chief Mike Holliday says crews from four halls responded just before 4:45 p.m. to the residential fire to find smoke and fire coming from a ground floor unit in the building.

“Crews mounted a quick attack and extinguished the fire containing it to the unit of origin.”

He estimates damages at $80,000. No one was injured though no word on the cause.
