Material spill causes traffic delays

PRINCE GEORGE — RCMP are on the scene of a material spill.

Police say it happened at the intersection of Highway 97 S and Highway 16 W earlier this afternoon.

Flaggers currently have several lanes blocked off but vehicles can get through with single lane traffic.

“Prince George Fire Services and YRB are on scene dealing with the spilled material and directing traffic. Police anticipate a lengthy delay as the cleanup continues. Please plan your route accordingly and give yourself extra time to get to your destinations this afternoon,” states Cst. Jennifer Cooper.
