Elections Canada expecting up-tick in mail-in votes for upcoming election

PRINCE GEORGE– With COVID-19’s fourth wave in full effect around the country, many were surprised when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for a federal election on August 15th.

The election is to be held on September 20th and Elections Canada is expecting millions of Mail-in votes from people all over the country. Here in B.C. it might be a way to go with the wildfire situation ongoing and the COVID-19 pandemic in full swing.

Regardless of how people are planning to vote, here in Prince George it seems like people are still questioning if it was the right time for an election to be called, others are still deciding how they’re gonna vote, however if they do go to the polls it will look a lot like last year.
