2 injured escaping Central Street East condo fire

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue says two people suffered cuts and abrasions from breaking some windows to aid in their evacuation from a condo fire on Central Street East this afternoon.

The fire broke out just after 3:30 p.m. with crews arriving to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the front and rear of the two story condo unit.

The fire department says four halls and 22 firefighter initially responded.

“Quick reaction from suppression crews prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent units. Crews were on scene for approximately two hours,” says Assistant Chief D.Pears.
