PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue (PGFR) responded to a commercial structure fire at the Aboriginal Infant Development Program.

Crews arrived at 138 George St. shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 4) where smoke was issuing from the eaves on one side of the building.

PGFR says 19 firefighters and six fire apparatus prevented the fire from spreading, and there were no injuries to firefighters or residents. The building suffered nearly $40,000 in damages.

Due to the suspicious nature of the fire, the investigation has been forwarded to the RCMP.
