PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties have arrested a break and enter suspect caught breaching curfew and probation.

This morning (Sept.8), just before 2 a.m., police received a report for an alarm at a business located on the 1200 block of 5th Avenue.

“When frontline members arrived, they saw a window to the business was broken,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper. “Police located a man inside the business whom investigators identified as 25-year-old Prince George resident, Adrian Squinas. Mr. Squinas is well known to police.”

She says police arrested Squinas for breaking and entering as well as for breaching his court ordered curfew and other probation conditions. Squinas remained in custody until he could attend court.

He’s facing the following charges:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to comply with undertaking

“This increase in our presence and active patrols in downtown Prince George, focusing on criminal activity in this space, is what enabled a prompt response that resulted in the suspect being caught at the scene,” says Cooper.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information you’re asked to call police.
