814 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., including 72 up north

VICTORIA — The province of British Columbia announced 814 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C. today, including 72 in the Northern Health region.
There are 5,550 active cases province-wide with the number hospitalized continuing to increase. That number now stands at 261, 129 of whom are in intensive care.
There have been no new deaths and 77.7% of eligible people 12 and older in BC are now fully vaccinated.
From Aug. 31-Sept. 6, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 77.8% of cases and from Aug. 24-Sept. 6, they accounted for 85.9% of hospitalizations.
