PRINCE GEORGE– The COVID-19 pandemic has provided people with a lot of free time. Some have taken up hobbies, others have decided to get in shape, and at least one person has built a miniature steam train.

Brad Hutton, a local of Prince George, has always been a builder. When he was two years old he used to follow his father around and look with great interest on what he was doing. As he got older his father taught him to weld and he helped him build multiple boats. Once he hit high school he got into a welding program. Now he has created his very own steam train.

If you head to the Hutton family household in College Heights you can see the train in the front yard along with other sculptures like a bear with a salmon in his mouth as well as a dragon. Brad used all the free time he had during the COVID-19 pandemic to find scrap metal and build these sculptures which also serve as firepits. The local kids loved seeing them in the yard Brad’s mother Colleen couldn’t be more proud of them being there.
