Time to cast your vote
PRINCE GEORGE – It’s been 36 days since the federal election call and today is the day you can finally vote, to elect members of the House of Commons to the 44th Canadian Parliament. So, what can you expect when you head out to the polls?
There will be longer lines this year, as Elections Canada is limiting the number of people inside at one time to ensure proper physical distance. You are encouraged to bring your own pen or pencil and masks are required here in B.C. They have also created more voting stations to accommodate demand.
5.8 million people already cast their ballots in advanced polling, and there were also over 1.2 million mail-in ballots sent in, which won’t be counted starting Tuesday.
