Fallfest is back!

PRINCE GEORGE – Fallfest gets under tomorrow downtown.

Third Avenue will be shut down to vehicular traffic from 8:30 a.m. to two p.m. But there’s a new addition to the event this year. Starting at 10 a.m. and running to four p.m., Fourth Avenue vendors will join the party.

The Owner of Simply Beautiful says a trio of events in the Hart recently did wonders for her location in that end of town.

“We had three big night markets and our sales reflect that. So it’s really given us a boost,” says Patti Perrault. “People remember where we are in that mall. Same things as this. It gets the public out. It’s more flow-through with getting through the store.”

Fallfest was first launched in 2019 but things had to be done differently last year because of COVID. And organizers are hoping to duplicate the success story that was Summerfest 2021.

“As far as the weather is concerned, that can play a factor in how many people come down” says Colleen Van Mook, Executive Director with Downtown Prince George. “We’re hoping that the Fall sunshine will come out on Saturday.”

Both farmers’ markets will be in full swing tomorrow as well.
