Prince George RCMP seize drugs and over $30,000 downtown
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say suspicious activity resulted in over $30,000 in illicit drugs and cash being seized.
On Sept. 24, RCMP say members of the Downtown Safety Unit were on routine patrol on the 1500-block of Victoria Street when they noticed a vehicle known to them in a parking lot. While interacting with the suspects, police observed what appeared to be a significant quantity of crystal meth in their possession.
One man in connection to the suspected drugs was arrested and later released from custody pending the investigation’s outcome and charge approval from Crown Counsel.
In total, officers seized more than a kilogram of what appears to be crystal meth, cocaine, and fentanyl, as well as over $30,000 in cash. Cpl, Jennifer Cooper says the quantities of the drugs are consistent with what police see in drug trafficking.
