Regional district issues scam alert

PRINCE GEORGE — The Regional District of Fraser Fort George has issued a scam alert.

They say telephone scams appear to be coming from a regional district phone number.

The regional district says it never initiates requests for social insurance or credit card numbers by phone.

If you receive a call or text of this nature, they ask you to ignore it or report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
