Prince George family’s heirlooms stolen from storage locker

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for some recently stolen family heirlooms.

Police received a report of a break-in to a local storage facility of Sept. 5, where one of the storage lockers had its lock removed and the contents gone through, with several items missing.

Some of the items missing include:

• Canadian Mint coin collection from between 1962 and 1964
• Several Canadian $1 and $2 bills
• A pearl necklace
• Medals of service with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1934 to 1945
• Some pieces of ID and old cheque books
