Bachrach renamed NDP’s Transport Critic

SMITHERS — Skeena-Bulkley Valley NDP MP Taylor Bachrach has been appointed his party’s Transport Critic.
It’s a posting he held prior to September’s federal election. In the last parliament, Bachrach helped launch parliamentary hearings on rail safety, which were cut short by the snap election.
He says he will be pushing for completion of those hearings once parliament resumes on November 22.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to continue working on this important file. I’ll be pushing to ensure that the issues that matter here in the Northwest get the national attention they deserve. From rail safety and passenger bus service to commercial tugboat regulations and restoring regional air routes, there are lots of transportation issues relevant to our region,” says Bachrach.
