Icy road conditions cause services to temporarily shut down this morning

PRINCE GEORGE– Icy seemed like an understatement.

Cars were stuck at a standstill, Canada Post delayed their services, BC Transit and School busses were forced to stay put and schools like UNBC & CNC canceled their morning classes.

Those were some of the services that weren’t available because of the icy roads which caused accidents and cars to slip and slide. Diversified Transportation runs the school busses in Prince George and had to shut down this morning because of something that manager Donna Holmgren has never seen happen while working for the transportation company.

However, as the sun came out and the temperature increased, services gradually restarted.
