Weather alerts and warnings across the province today

PRINCE GEORGE- The weather is causing all kinds of headaches this morning . There’s a highway alert in effect for 100 Mile House, with strong gusty winds today and tonight. A snowfall warning is in effect for the Yellowhead Highway from Tête Jaune Cache to the Alberta Border through to this afternoon .

Southern B.C. has been hit with a massive rainstorm, triggering rock and mudslides that have shut down several highways, trapping drivers. Some areas like the eastern Fraser Valley have seen about 225-millimetres of rain so far, and another 50-millimetres is in the forecast today. Flood warnings and watches are in effect in areas from Merritt, south through the Fraser Valley and even on Vancouver Island.
