Two more COVID-19 related deaths in Northern Health

NORTHERN BC- 68 of BC’s 468 new COVID-19 cases were identified in Northern Health. The province now has 3,345 active cases, with 355 people in hospital, 110 of whom are in ICU. In Northern Health, there are now 489 active cases which is 18 fewer than yesterday (Wednesday).

Seven new deaths have been reported in BC, including two Northerners. Northern Health’s death toll is now at 240. The North’s recovery rate remains at 95%.

82% of Northern Health’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Additionally, 75% are fully immunized with two doses. From November 9-15, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 60.8% of cases in BC, and from November 2-15, they accounted for 71.9% of hospitalizations.
