Province sees 497 new COVID-19 cases
NORTHERN BC- Northern Health reported 78 new cases of COVID-19, boosting the regions active case count to 498. This comes as 497 cases were identified across the province. Currently, BC has 3,420 active cases while 358 individuals are in hospital,109 of whom are in ICU.
Three new deaths have been reported in BC, including one in Northern Health. The North’s death toll has reached 241, while the provincial death toll is now 2,293. Northern Health’s recovery rate is 95%.
90.8% of eligible people 12 and older in BC have received their first dose of a vaccine and 87.0% have received their second dose. Additionally, 91.2% of all eligible adults in BC have received their first dose and 87.6% have received their second dose. From November 11-17, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 59.5% of cases, and from November 4-17, they accounted for 70.4% of hospitalizations.
