MACKENZIE – The community of Mackenzie will be getting a new Firehall. Fire Chief Jamie Guise says he can’t wait to move out of the 50-year-old building they’re currently in and work from the community’s newest building.

He was part of a team that helped plan the building in the centre of the community.

The old Firehall was originally the district’s city hall back in 1970. It was never designed to be a fire hall and only provides about 6000 square feet.
