Nechako Lakes School District decides against employee vaccine mandate

PRICE GEORGE- SD91 has decided not to proceed with the COVID-19 vaccination mandate for all employees at this time. This comes after a January 24 meeting and the consideration of numerous sources, including an employee survey, legal information, the K-12 Sector Vaccination Guidelines and the January 17th Public Health Order on employee disclosure.

“Trustees received considerable feedback and advice on this matter and the Board appreciated the many comments it received. It is clear that people, for and against the mandate, are very passionate in their viewpoints,” stated Board Chair Dave Christie.

79% of staff at SD91 completed the survey that was used to come to this conclusion. Despite this decision, the board reaffirms its support for vaccinations.
